The road surfacing and cement industry are massive businesses here in Australia...
"Sprayed Seal" is often used in Road resurfacing and pavement refurbishing.
A sprayed seal is a thin layer of binder sprayed onto a pavement surface with a layer of aggregate incorporated and which is impervious to water. This type of treatment is sometimes referred to as a "Spray Seal", a "Bitumen Seal" or a "Chip Seal".
The trucks and equipment used to apply the spray seal can, over time, become heavily contaminated with a build-up of bitumen spray which can be extremely difficult and messy to remove.
Dry Ice Blasting removes the hardened layers of bitumen without damaging the sensitive and nozzles and control lines.
Dry Ice Blasting offers a relatively fast and less hazardous method of cleaning which can achieve excellent results.
